This variety from OGI is a very consistent two-gene Clearfield variety. By having two genes for herbicide tolerance, Doublestop CL+ has much better tolerance to Beyond herbicide than one-gene with Beyond when making the herbicide application to this variety, which can improve control of feral rye, cheatgrass, joined goatgrass, and other problem grasses. Doublestop CL+ generally has good yield record in K-State and OSU test and predictable field reports from Oklahoma and southern Kansas, and has preformed with good results in Colorado trails as well. It is resistant to soilborne mosaic and tolerant tolerant to acid soils, which gives it adaptability to both central and western Oklahoma and Kansas. Its prefigree includes a wide range of different lines and varieties, giving it a well-buffered genetic background.
